Despite appearing in films like Armageddon and now Eagle Eye, Billy Bob Thornton reckons he is no action star.
"I don't think I'm an action star," said the laid back actor, who plays a special agent in the new Shia LaBeouf movie.
"I was mostly getting in and out of cars and barking orders. I'm not big on action movies normally. I think this is a good one but it's not my bag."
However, Billy Bob reckons he can be a bit of a tough guy off set, if the situation demands it.
"It depends," he said. "I'm pretty handy with a stick if there's trouble. I grew up in the woods so I've been shooting guns since I was a little kid. I don't do it any more, except for a movie."
Although he still does the odd Hollywood blockbuster, Billy Bob says he prefers independent films.
"The things I've liked that I've done are Monster's Ball, The Man Who Wasn't There, Sling Blade, Bad Santa, A Simple Plan - those are more my style," he said.
"But even an independent film has become a thing when they want stars in them all. They want to load them up with about 10 stars, and it used to be that independent film was so good because you believed the characters - because they were people you didn't really know."
