Elizabeth Banks is looking forward to working with her new director
Elizabeth Banks has revealed she is "really excited" about working with new Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence.
Francis is getting behind the camera for Catching Fire, the second instalment in the adventure trilogy, after the departure of the first film's director Gary Ross.
And Elizabeth, who plays Effie Trinket, told Moviefone: "(Gary) made a great movie, he made a lot of money, he's moving on - I think it's fine for everybody. He's good, and now we'll get fresh eyes on the next one, and that'll be really exciting.
"And it's always exciting for actors to create new relationships with new directors. Gary and I made two movies together and I would do anything with him, but now I'm excited to get to know Francis."
The What To Expect When You're Expecting actress said she wasn't lobbying for any particular stars to appear in Catching Fire.
"I'm gonna trust the process, because so far the process has been amazing and I think it's yielded an incredible cast," she explained.
"The movie is so well-cast, and I'll even throw myself into that mix. There'll be a similar process and we're gonna get a great Finnick and a great Johanna. And a Plutarch! Don't forget! There are so many great characters coming up."
