Family days out don’t get better than Tredegar House’s, and there is a whole host of activities to get involved with over the summer months.

With striking colours, perfumed scents and relaxing spaces the walled gardens are the ideal backdrop for making memories. Families can get closer to nature and spend quality time together in these beautiful surroundings which offer something for everyone.

Families can try their hand at traditional games such as skittles and quoits or follow trails through the house and gardens before cygnet spotting on a stroll around the lake. Young nature explorers can also pick up a 50 Things to do Before You’re 11¾ scrapbook and start an awesome outdoor adventure which will entertain them throughout the summer holidays.

The 500-year-old mansion house comes alive again through dedicated and friendly volunteer storytellers who liven up the history for younger visitors. Make time-travel possible for budding historians and let them delve into the dressing up box to adopt their own Morgan persona before exploring wartime heroism, dark arts, riotous parties and the life of the servants as you travel through the past.
