TOWNSEND (Mel) Thanks for the trust when my dreams came to nothing, for being my rock when hope turned to despair. Thanks for your strength when I needed it badly, thank you my darling for just being there. Thanks for your patience through our last years together, for the care and devotion you lavished on me. For the calm resignation that I would not get better, for bravely accepting what you knew had to be. Thanks for the rose that you placed in my coffin and the last kiss goodbye that your dear lips bestowed. If I could give you the earth and all of its riches, it would only be half of the debt I owed.
