BROWN On 1st June 2015, after a short illness, Joan Brown of West Pontnewydd (ex. Councill or Torfaen County Borough Council). Beloved wife of the late Denis, devoted mother of Dee, David and Joanne, loved and respected mother in law, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral Tuesday 16th June, service 10.10am at Holy Trinity Church, Pontnewydd afterwards at Gwent Crematorium at 11.00am. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu may be given at the Crematorium for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Enquiries to Peterson Funeral Home, Maendy Way, Cwmbran NP44 3LH. Tel: (01633) 483127.

We are so sorry to learn Mrs Brown has passed away and we missed her funeral. She was a legend and will be greatly missed. We won't forget her, sympathy and condolences to the family our prayers are with you all. Moonie, Claire and Lynette.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Joan. I happened to be in West Pontnewydd today when Joan arrived at her home to say goodbye. God bless you Joan. You were a very thoughtful, and kind lady who did a lot for the community of West Pontnewydd and will be sadly missed. At rest with Denis now. Forever at peace.
