COOKE John William Passed peacefully at The Royal Gwent Hospital Newport on the 2nd July 2019 aged 79 years. John of Fishers Close. Much loved brother and Uncle. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral service shall take place on Tuesday 23rd July 2019 at Langstone Vale Crematorium at 15.30 pm. Family flowers only, donations in lieu can be kindly given to the National Royal Lifeboat Institution during the service. Gentlemen to wear open shirt collars and ladies to wear bright colours. So sorry to hear of the passing of 'Big John' Cooke. A big man in all ways, great friend, customer and a gentleman in both senses of the word. The smell of engineering oil has lost its significance to me now John, but should I ever again recover it, it will bring back memories of Pattisons and your good self and chewing the fat when I happened past, or needed a job doing.
