To all the family of Richard Grey , my sincerest condolences on Richard doing the last parade. It was a great honour and a privilege to have, had one of the best pardes as mine whilst in training at Woolwich back in the 80s
It was also a wonderful thing to have met him again after 30 odd years at the Royal Regiment of Artillery association Swansea branch, where I would have with pride and respect been happy to have been his own standard bearer.
He was a unqie person who spoke his mind and you knew where you stood.
It is a shame I don’t have the opportunity to see him before he left the parade ground for the last time.
But be certain that all the Gunners who had gone before him will be , welcoming him with a loud song . Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a recth like me I once was lost but now I’m found I once was blind I see

God bless him and all of you
