WILBUD (nee Grieb) Pat Peacefully on 29th September at Nevill Hall Hospital surrounded by her family, after a short illness, Pat aged 79 years. Devoted wife of Keith, mother of Elizabeth and Caroline, mother-in-law to Gary and Ian, Mama of Jessica, Gareth, Harriet, Lewys and Elinor, sister to Barbara and David and sister-in-law to Jill, Christine and Barrie. A private funeral will take place on Wednesday 28th October. The hearse will leave Tovey Bros, 9/11 Cardiff Road, Newport, NP20 2EH at 12noon and will travel along Chepstow Road to Langstone Vale Crematorium, for anyone wishing to pay their respects on the route whilst socially distancing. Donations if desired for National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society may be given online at www.toveybros.co.uk/funeral or sent c/o Tovey Bros.

Pat was my Ranger Guide leader in Caerleon. She was so patient with our wild ideas and arranged amazing experiences for us. I learnt to abseil down a cliff and went to an international jamboree courtesy of Pat. But my favorite memories are of the camps that she enabled us to have at Lower Pink Farm Bullyhole bottom Shirenewton. Rest in peace Pat. I now run my own Ranger group and try my best to emulate her inspiring leadership. It didn't matter what wild idea we came up with Pat made it happen. RIP Pat xx
