HERBERT John Peacefully, in his hundredth year, at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, on Monday, May 23rd, Dr John (Jack) Herbert passed away. Former Head of Pontywaun Grammar School, Risca, Newbridge Grammar School, Newbridge, and Lliswerry High School, Newport. He was dearly loved, and will be sadly missed, by his devoted family and many friends. Funeral service to be held at St Mary's Church, Risca, on Tuesday, June 21st at 1.15 pm, followed by private cremation. Family flowers only, please, but donations to Christian Aid Ukraine Appeal in lieu may be made at the service.
