NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER SECTION 53 - THE WILDLIFE & COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

PUBLIC FOOTPATH FROM LLANTARNAM ROAD TO NEWPORT ROAD LLANTARNAM CWMBRAN
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2017
The above Order made on 31 July 2017, if Confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map of Public Rights of Way and Written Statement for the area by:-
adding to them the Footpath on the adopted footway opposite the Greenhouse Public House on Newport Road and running through the John Fielding Gardens housing estate in a general north-westerly direction for approximately 92 metres, then turning in a general northerly direction for 231 metres across school playing fields and finally in a north easterly direction for 14 metres to its junction via a metal gate with the adopted footway on Llantarnam Road. The path has a width of 1.2 metres and has a natural grass surface where it crosses the playing fields. The total length of the footpath is approximately 337 metres.
A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at Torfaen County Borough Council's Neighbourhood Services Section, Ty Blaen, Panteg Way, New Inn, Pontypool from 8.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8.30 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. on Friday. Copies of the Order and the Map may be bought there at the price of £3.00.
Any representations or objections relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Resources Department, Legal Division, Torfaen County Borough Council, Civic Centre, Pontypool NP4 6YB - ref LM/20487 no later than 13 September 2017 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, Torfaen County Borough Council, instead of submitting it to the Welsh Government (or part of it if the Authority has by notice to the Welsh Government, so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981), may itself Confirm the Order (or that part of the Order). If the Order is submitted to the Welsh Government in whole or in part, any representations or objection which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
