PUBLIC NOTICE OF CONTINUATION TORFAEN COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED) SECTION 14(1)(b) PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 286 (PART) PONTNEWYDD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2017

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by the County Borough Council of Torfaen on 22 November 2017 for a period of 6 months until 21 May 2018, the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians and cyclists from proceeding along Public Footpath (FP) No. 286 from the Canal Bridge between Elm Grove and Richmond Road and running in a southerly direction for approximately 240 metres to its junction with Bevans Lane and then continuing in a south westerly direction for a further 560 metres to its junction with FP No’s 7 and 16 at the canal tunnel, has been continued in force with the approval of the National Assembly of Wales from 22 May 2018 until and including the 21 November 2018 or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. There is an alternative route available and is shown in dashed black lines from A-B on the Order map. The Order was required due to the likelihood of danger to the public.
