Paul Lindsey, a well-known and respected Newport solicitor, has joined the private client department at Howells Solicitors as a partner.

Most recently Paul worked in the trust and estate team at a leading London firm, having previously headed his own team at a regional law firm in Newport.

Howells has experienced a large increase in the number of high value, complex estates and trusts it deals with in recent times.

The firm has a considerable client base across South Wales and is continually working to improve its services. Recruiting a leading expert to meet the growing demand has therefore been a priority for the firm. Paul joins an already considerable team of experienced lawyers with complimentary skills.

Laith Khatib, director and head of the trust and estate department at Howells, said: “We have ambitious plans to lead the South Wales market in this area and to achieve our goal it is key that we have the very best people.

"Paul has a lot of experience working with clients in all aspects of trust and estate planning. He is one of the few lawyers around who can help clients with contentions and non-contentious trust and estate work. His skills bring a new dimension to our team and this will undoubtedly benefit our clients and promote the development of the department."

Paul said: “Howells are a dynamic and ambitious firm which has experienced rapid growth over the last few years. I am tremendously excited about the wealth of opportunities here. I hope to play a pivotal role in the expansion of our private client offering while building on the firm’s strong reputation for giving clients the very best service.”
