Now That’s What I Call Music! 1 is set for a re-release to mark Record Store Day.
The makers of the famous compilation albums will release their 90th instalment on March 30, The Millennium Editions, but will go back to their roots by putting out the first-ever version again on vinyl.
It was first released in 1983 and includes hits from the likes of Duran Duran, Phil Collins, Madness, Culture Club and Rod Stewart.
Fans can buy it on Record Store Day which is due to take place on April 18 this year, with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl as the official ambassador.
Other music people will be able to get their hands on from record stores that day include Johnny Marr’s cover of Depeche Mode’s I Feel You and Elvis’s early recordings That’s When Your Heartaches Begin and My Happiness.
Record Store Day celebrates independent record stores and this will be the eighth year it has run in the UK, after launching in the US in 2007.
