James Corden was joined by Julianne Moore and John Stamos as they acted out Taylor Swift’s song lyrics.
With Taylor’s songs frequently telling emotional tales of love and heartbreak, the trio decided to turn her words into a break-up scene for a fictional soap, titled The Bold And The Lyrical, on the latest episode of James’s The Late Late Show.
Only speaking in words from Tay-Tay’s songs including Shake It Off, Bad Blood, Blank Space and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, the scene starts with Julianne – as Juliette Moore – asking James’s leather jacket-wearing character James Cordone where he had been.
He smoothly replied: “I keep cruisin’. Can’t stop, won’t stop moving. Baby, is something wrong? Cause I’m only up when you’re knocked down.”
At one point, Julianne quotes Someone Like You, before the host pulls her up on the mistake, saying: “I think that’s Adele. Good song though!”
The chat show host then got down on one knee to propose – before John Stamos, as John Stamosa, entered the fray.
As we can’t Shake It Off, it’s only a matter of time before Taylor’s songs are turned into a musical…
