Charlamagne described it as the “quickest Breakfast Club interview ever” but it seems Birdman is keen to cash in on his now infamous walkout by selling T-shirts with the slogan Put Some Respek On My Name.
The American rapper shared a link via Instagram to the Cash Money website where you can buy his merch – including six tees with the phrase – which was part of his rant before he stormed out of the interview on the Power 105.1 FM show.
Last Friday radio presenter Charlamagne Tha God responded to Birdman’s initial huff and said: “I wanted to come look you in your face like a man and tell you how I feel.”
Birdman replied: “Ain’t no issue. If there was an issue, you’d feel me, put some respect on my name.”
Re-live the moment that sparked hundreds of memes here.
Birdman also took the time to promote three upcoming projects on Instagram as well as the merch.
Lost At Sea, a collaborative project with Jacquees, will be out on May 7.
There’ll be a new album, Ms Gladys, on June 24.
And finally a new Rich Gang project, RG2 – The Lifestyle, on July 1.
