Kit Harington has not been offered his own Game Of Thrones spin-off after all.
There have been rumours that the actor – whose character Jon Snow was recently brought back from the dead on the hit HBO show – was in talks to star in his own sequel series.
But his spokesman, and reps for the show, have told Entertainment Weekly that there is no truth to the reports.
HBO’s Michael Lombardo also recently told the site that there are no prequels or Game Of Thrones spin-offs in the pipeline, although he implied that could change if the right story came along.
Speaking last month, he said if it were to happen it would have to come from showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss “really feeling something”, or the author George RR Martin believing it was the right thing to do.
“Not knowing how this particular story ends, I don’t know,” he said.
“There are plenty of characters, secondary characters, who you could build a world around. We’re always going to be drawn to a strong creative vision. But we are not going to do that unless we feel their passion.”
