THE doors to Tredegar House have opened and you can pick from a variety of Christmas activities.

Visitors can feel right at home and in the festive spirit at an array of different activities, starting with Christmas at Tredegar House from today to December 17.

Christmas at Tredegar House starts from 10.15am and 4pm.

Pomander making, lace gifts with a glass of mulled wine and homemade mince pies will be taking place on weekends from 10.30am to 3pm.

Father Christmas will also be taking time out of his busy schedule and will be at the house to meet children today until December 17 from 10.15am to 4pm.

And for those who want to discover more about the Morgan family’s own festive traditions and the tales of Charles Morgan - including a night masquerade ball - you should go to the Yuletide Tours.

Newport resident Danny O’Neill said he would encourage everyone to go to the Christmas events.

“I have been taking my children to the different performances for years,” said Mr O’Neill.

“They love the Father Christmas show, probably because it is one of the most exciting days of the year.”
