Are you aged between 8-16 years and fancy joining this year's Panto chorus cast for Dick Whittington at The Riverfront? Our Panto open auditions will be on Sunday 28 September, with registration opening at 10am until 11am, so put the date in your diary and get ready to strut your stuff!

The Riverfront are looking for talented youngsters who can sing, dance and act and are particurlary looking for young street dancers. Once registered, you will be asked to dance, sing and act small sections to show us your skills in front of a small panel of the pantomime producer, director and choreographer.

Presented once again by the winning team that produced last year’s record-breaking Beauty and the Beast, The Riverfront in association with Hiss and Boo bring you all the delights and the dare devil antics of one very special Tommy the Cat (Emma Goodwin) and his master, Dick Whittington (Gareth Tempest).

Attracted to the idea of London’s streets being paved with gold, the two friends arrive in the city only to discover it is infested with rats. Tommy quickly comes to the rescue of the beautiful Alice (Elin Llywd – S4C Stwnch), her father, Alderman Fitzwarren (Mike Onslow) and their larger than life and hapless cook Sarah (Lee Mengo – the finest dame in panto land), killing the rats in their shop. However, super baddie King Rat (Richard Elis – Eastenders) has plans to take over the world, and these do not include Dick and Tommy. Their battle takes place on the high seas and onto the exotic shores of Morocco.

The Pantomime runs from 2 December until 4 January, with rehearsals taking place in November. If chosen, you need to be able to attend rehearsals in November and be available throughout the whole run of shows in December and early January.

Tickets for the show are on sale now, with prices ranging from £5.50 to £18, and can be purchased at the Box Office, at or by calling 01633 656757. For the latest updates on this year’s Panto, sign up to or follow @riverfrontarts on Twitter #riverfrontpanto
