CAERPHILLY Youth Theatre is to be developed and expanded following a successful funding bid.
As part of the changes, new classes and a new programme of study are being planned and a new group is being set up in Cross Keys, while another group is scheduled to start in the New Year.
Changes to the Youth Theatre will focus on skills development and disciplines including musical theatre, in addition to a technical theatre course.
The technical theatre course will be devoted to all aspects of technical theatre, from stage design to prop making, and will begin later in the year.
From next Monday, the Youth Theatre will meet on Monday evenings in Blackwood Miners’ Institute, and on Wednesday evenings from November 14 in the drama studio of Coleg Gwent, Cross Keys.
