PARENTS and future pupils of Rassau's Rhos y Fedwen Primary School protested against proposals to close the school today.
Around 40 parents took banners and posters made by their children to the General Offices in Ebbw Vale where a consultation event was being held.
Blaenau Gwent council is proposing to close Rhos y Fedwen, Briery Hill Primary in Tredegar and Blaentillery Primary in Abertillery to help cut surplus places in the borough.
The proposals are part of the 21st Century Schools programme. A consultation process is currently taking place and runs until December 16.
Parent Sharon Griffiths said: 'We will do everything in our power to save our school.'
