GWENT Police have issued a warning to the public after two types of prescription tablets went missing in Newport this afternoon.
A sealed bottle of Zopiclone, a strong sleeping tablet, and a sealed bottle of Tramadol, a strong pain killer, were lost after they were collected from a pharmacist on Belle Vue Terrace in Newport.
The medication, which was being carried in a white paper pharmacy bag, was lost between Belle Vue Terrace and Alexandra Road in Newport.
The force is now appealing for help to find the medication.
Gwent Police warned that taking medication, which is prescribed to another person, can be dangerous and in some cases fatal.
Anyone who finds the medication or has any information, should call Gwent Police on 101 or hand it in to Newport Central police station.
