CAERPHILLY Medieval Christmas Fayre this Saturday and Sunday is set to be a feast of festive frolics and medieval madness, as street entertainment brings the town of Caerphilly to life.

This year the entertainment on offer is second to none with a selection of medieval-style musicians and magicians to full-on quirky wizardry and children’s crafts.

Medieval Knights and noble gents will pass you as you browse the 100-plus street traders. Watch out, the medieval beggars are out, make sure they don’t pick your pockets!

When you enter the castle you will not be disappointed, with more traders, jesters, juggling, dragons and the special man himself, Santa Claus! There will be fights, knights and medieval fun with the Freemen of Gwent and archery with The Sons of the Dragon; it really is a full day of fun at this Christmas Fayre.

Entry into the castle, one of the Great Medieval castles of Europe is currently at a fee, although all the entertainment inside the castle is free including Father Christmas and most of the entertainment around the town is also free.

Colour, dance and music will lift the mood and bring this festive period to life in Caerphilly town.
