TWO years after wowing Britain’s Got Talent judges with his unique artwork, Ebbw Vale artist Nathan Wyburn is still in hot demand.

The fine art graduate, 22, who is famous for unique portraits using toast and Marmite, has been impressing celebrities with his latest work.

Last Friday he presented X Factor finalist and Celebrity Big Brother winner Rylan Clark with a portrait created using fake tan - inspired by the Essex-born entertainer's love for the stuff.

Meanwhile a recent portrait he drew of his idol, American singer Anastacia, attracted much praise from the star when he contacted sent her a link to the artwork via Twitter.

She tweeted a reply saying: "I'm so gob-smacked by the video artwork of Nathan I have to share this with you all. He will be coming to my show in London and now he has got me nervously excited to meet him. What a gift you have Nathan and I'm blessed that my words/music have touched you as your art has touched me. See you in April dude."

Mr Wyburn said Rylan Clark was equally impressed: "He was in awe when I presented it to him, and said his famous "OMG, fake tan? Drop me out!" catch phrase," he said.

"He said it was the most unique gift he'd ever been given, and that it meant more than any cars or clothes he's been given."

Mr Wyburn’s talents have even extended to the Royal family when late last year he created a portrait of Kate Middleton using his trademark toast and Marmite. It was an instant hit and a video of him creating it posted on his YouTube channel was viewed more than 300,000 times in just 15 days.

The ever-in-demand artist also visited Istanbul in November where cosmetics manufacturer P&G commissioned him to use their OralB toothpaste to create artwork at the 16th International Dental Congress.

He presented it to the company director and his visit was aired on Turkish news. He is currently working on new project ideas and in the coming months will be flying to Helsinki in Finland in March for work.

He said: "It still shocks me people are so interested in what I do, let alone be willing to commission me."
