LICENCE reviews into nightspots owned by Iftekhar Haris were dropped by the sub-committee yesterday.
Police had raised concerns about anti-social behaviour and public safety.
But officers decided not to proceed after Mr Haris was found not guilty of an offence under the public order act outside one of his venues.
The sub-committee yesterday decided to withdraw the reviews on Kama Lounge, Warehouse 54, Meze Lounge and Deliliahs due to a lack of evidence.
If police had proceeded, Mr Haris had been at risk of losing his licence.
