THE busy beats of Argentina burst onto the stage of Cardiff’s New Theatre on Monday night when Midnight Tango came to town.

This explosive show is non-stop from beginning to end and showcases the incredible talents of not only its main stars, but its entire cast.

Strictly Come Dancing favourites Flavia Cacace and Vincent Simone play love- struck couple Sophia and Pablo, who meet in a traditional Buenos Aires bar.

But their relationship is put in jeopardy by a rival lover who is desperate to steal Sophia away. From its lively music and comedy moments, to its exquisite lifts and sultry steps, this show does not disappoint. Its expert dancers never put a foot out of place, spinning, lifting and turning their way around the floor and over tables with ease.

But there is no denying who the stars of the show are. Adored by their audience – and quite rightly so – there are few words that adequately describe the unrivaled grace, poise and dexterity with which they move.

The tiny duo delighted with breathtaking speed and precision one minute to romantic and tender moments the next, proving why they are still at the top of their game, both as performers and choreographers.
