A MACHEN man accused of threatening to shoot two police officers in the head will stand trial next month.
Ashley Allis Beckett, 28, of Chestnut Close, Machen, denies violent behaviour at Ystrad Mynach police station where he is alleged to have threatened to shoot PC 1241 Tyler and PC 1331 Wilkinson in the head in the police custody office on August 12.
Beckett is also charged with a burglary offence for which he will attend a plea and case management hearing on September 30.
Beckett was remanded on both matters and will appear at Cwmbran Magistrates Court again via video link on September 23 at 11am, for an interrim hearing before trial.
