A motorway lane has been reopened and a roundabout cleared, after two rush hour incidents in Newport this evening.
One lane of the M4 motorway westbound at J29 A48(M),was closed after a collision involving two vehicles. The lane had now reopened.
Meanwhile, police and fire service attended the roundabout at J28 of the M4 after a lorry was reported to be on fire.
The blaze began after an electrical fire started in the engine. There were no reported injuries.
Gwent police were called to the scene at 18.34. The vehicle was pushed off the road and traffic was cleared.
