THE Argus said yesterday there were four bundles of joy delivered to parents on Christmas Day at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport – but we can add one more.
Late arrival Emillie Brehony-Bevan was born at 8.01pm on Christmas day weighing a 9 lb 5 oz.
Mum, Hannah Brehony, 21, from Bettws, is delighted with her new arrival, as is big brother, Ollie, aged 21 months.
She said: “My little boy can’t stop staring at her and checking up on her. I didn’t go into hospital until about 2pm, even though I was having contractions, as I wanted to spend Christmas morning with Ollie unwrapping his presents. When I got there nothing was really happening so I went for a walk, and by 7pm I was in labour properly and she was born within the hour. She’s absolutely lovely.”
The first Royal Gwent Christmas baby of the day, Lily Shatford, arrived at 3.57am weighing 7lbs 1oz.
