TWENTY people arrested following an incident in Crindau, Newport, have been bailed, police said today.
Following a disturbance at about 7.15am yesterday in the Albany Street area of Newport, officers said today that 20 people were arrested in total - 18 of them men and two women.
Nineteen were arrested for affray and all have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Seven men and youths - one aged 27 from Milton Keynes; one aged 37 from Newport; one aged 25 from Bury; one aged 19 of no fixed abode; one aged 26 of no fixed abode; one aged 15 from Newport; and one aged 15 from Newport were arrested on suspicion of affray.
A woman aged 28 from Milton Keynes was arrested on a no bail warrant.
A 37-year-old man from Bristol; a 55-year-old man from Merthyr; a 45 year old man from Merthyr; a 42-year-old man from Ebbw Vale; a 24-year-old man from Bristol; a 49-year-old man from Bristol; a 39-year-old man from Merthyr; a 21-year-old man from Bristol; a 22-year-old man from Pontypool; a 25-year-old man from Ebbw Vale; a 37-year-old man from Bristol and a 51-year-old woman from Bristol have also been arrested on suspicion of affray .
