A SCHOOL choir and a group of bell ringers are among those that began fundraising for Children in Need this week.
In Chepstow, a 32-strong junior choir at St John’s-on-the-Hill School raised funds by performing for customers at Coffee#1 in the town yesterday morning.
The pupils, led by music director Chris Andrews, who played the keyboard, and teacher Lucy Creed, conducting, sang eight songs.
They were joined by children from St Arvans Day Nursery who helped collect donations.
In Newport, bellringers at St Woolos Cathedral invited members of the public to have a go at bell ringing in exchange for donations.
