Man arrested on suspicion of rape
A MAN was arrested on suspicion of rape in Newport this morning.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said the 29-year-old from the city had been arrested in the Pill area and remains in police custody.
She said the alleged victim, an 18-year-old woman also from Newport, is being supported by specialist officers.
