THE man who died in a motorbike crash at the weekend "was far too young to be taken from us" his mother said today.

She told how Andrew McGee had "a wonderful future lying ahead", but added "it wasn't meant to be".

Andrew died after he crashed while riding a motorbike in Coedkernew on Sunday.

Her tribute continues: "I have to remember that he had ticked all his boxes. He had a wonderful girlfriend whom he adored and his beautiful girls. He also had more friends than I could count and his working life was starting to be promising.

"In my minds eye I see him on that Sunday morning waking up and spending time with his little family and then spending a sunny autumn afternoon with his friends, doing what he loved, and had done on many Sundays. He was wearing his full protection gear.

"Tragically on this occasion something went horribly wrong and turned all our worlds upside down and broke all our hearts in two.

"I would like to thank his friends and the First Response Team for trying so hard to save him. I know they did all they could."
