TWO Newport teens have set up their own brand to turn a passion for fashion and music into a viable business.
A-level students Andrew Ogun, 16, and Antony Soltvedt, 18, set up clothing brand Supernova just over two months ago making branded T-shirts which have been hugely popular with adults and youths alike.
The pair decided to set up the business as a way of expressing their interests in music and popular culture in the hope of inspiring others.
Andrew, a St Josephs’ sixth form student said the T-shirts are only just the beginning of what he hopes will be a popular and diverse brand.
He said: “We want to go global and spread positive energy because that is everything to us.”
The innovative pair used their own investment to purchase 50 T-shirts which they then printed with their own logo at Merch Asylum Printing Centre in Cardiff.
Antony said the brand name is symbolic of what they hope to achieve.
