COLEG Gwent’s City of Newport Campus recognised for its careers guidance after being awarded the Career Wales Mark.
The Careers Wales Mark acknowledges the continuous quality improvement in the provision of careers and the world of work shown by the campus.
It has been re-awarded to City of Newport Campus, following the initial award in 2012 and is re-assessed every three years to ensure continuous improvement.
City of Newport Campus and Careers Wales work collaboratively to increase young people’s understanding of the world of work and help them to make realistic informed decisions about their futures.
This is done through a programme of activities including work experience, skills events and visits from local business people, which give young people the skills and experience needed to excel in the work place.
Gary Handley, City of Newport Campus Director, said: “We are very proud that the City of Newport campus has secured this prestigious award.
“We hope to continue supporting learners with the highest quality advice and guidance.”
