ST DAVID'S DAY is here and to celebrate Brace's Wales largest independent baker is offering a local school and one of its pupils lots of dough, fun and some tasty treats.

The family baker is encouraging children, up to the age of 11, to send a photograph of them dressed in Welsh costume.

The lucky winner will receive an annual family pass (two adults and three children) to Greenmeadow community farm in Cwmbran.

The winner will also be the toast of their school with each pupil in their class receiving a packet of mouth-watering Welsh cakes and the school PTA collecting a dough-nation of £100.

Brace's has been baking quality bread in Wales since 1902 and is proud to be Welsh. Its Welsh cakes are definitely a recipe for success with the bakery, based in Crumlin, producing over one million Welsh cakes in the run-up to today's celebrations.
