TWO people who died in a house fire on a British military base in Cyprus were today named as a Gwent father and his five-year-old son.
RAF Corporal Andy Greenough and his son Evan perished in the blaze at RAF Akrotiri on Saturday along with a third person who has not been formally identified, said a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Defence.
Corporal Greenough, a 37-year-old from Abertillery, worked for the Cyprus Service Support Unit and had been in the forces for 17 years.
