ASSEMBLY leader Rhodri Morgan hit the streets of Newport with local AMs yesterday as the Labour Party launched its Assembly election manifesto.
Mr Morgan walked along Commercial Street to meet and greet voters with Newport West AM Rosemary Butler and the seat's MP Paul Flynn.
He then made a visit to Maindee Shopping Centre in a show of support for Newport East AM John Griffiths, who spoke to voters.
Earlier in the day the Labour Party launched its manifesto in New Tredegar.
The Assembly elections take place on May 3.
