TORFAEN Council is encouraging voters who may be away or busy on Assembly election day - May 3 - to register for a postal or proxy vote.

Anyone can apply for a postal vote and you do not have to have a special reason for doing so. You can also make a prior arrangement to have someone vote on your behalf, your proxy.

Torfaen Council can accept applications for new proxy voters up until 5pm on Wednesday April 25.

If you already vote by post or proxy and need to make any changes to your address or want to cancel the arrangement, or if you would like to become a postal voter, then you can apply to do so until 5pm on April 18.

For more information call 01495 762200 or email voting@torfaen.gov.uk.
