Three grassfires were 'deliberate'
ONE hundred square metres of grass in forestry was deliberately set on fire in Hill Top, Ebbw Vale just before 8pm last night. A crew from Ebbw Vale used fire beaters to put out the blaze.
An hour later in a separate incident grass was deliberately set on fire at a skatepark on George Barkers Avenue in Abertillery.
Fire crew from Caerphilly were called to a third fire on Rudry Common just before 10pm and used beaters to tackle the blaze. A spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that all three fires were deliberately lit.
