A NEWPORT man has been arrested for allegedly shooting a cyclist with a paintball gun.
Police had appealed for information after the incident under the railway bridge by the railway station in Crosskeys on Saturday, July 25.
The cyclist was sore from where the paintball hit him but was otherwise unharmed The man, aged 20, has been arrested and charged with driving without due care and attention; failing to stop and using a motor vehicle without appropriate insurance. He will appear in court next month.
