TWO Gwent breweries are among 86 from Wales to feature in the Good Beer Guide 2016.
Tiny Rebel Brewery in Newport and Mad Dog Brewing co in Penperlleni, near Abergavenny, appear in the guide, published by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) today.
The annual guide features 324 pubs in Wales and also gives details of the various beers brewed in the region.
In this year’s entry there are 38 Gwent pubs, with ten new entries and eight breweries, with Mad Dog Brewing co included for the first time.
The book’s Editor Roger Protz said: “British brewing has never been in better health, with a third consecutive year of over ten per cent growth and more different beers being brewed than ever before.”
"The range of beers available to beer drinkers now is colossal and we’re seeing real competition between pubs who want to serve the best selection of real ales, making the Good Beer Guide 2016 an indispensable book for those looking for the best pubs.”
