NEWPORT Gwent Dragons stars brought some festive cheer to the children’s ward at the Royal Gwent Hospital this week.
A group of players, including Ross Wardle, Aaron Warren, Adam Warren, Jason Tovey, Carl Mayer, Lewis Adams and Hugh Gustafson, signed posters and flags for a number of young patients and their families on Tuesday.
Decked out in Santa hats and Christmas jumpers with their club tracksuits, the players brought smiles to the faces of Callum Bidgway, 11, Chloe Rickwood, 10, and Hannah Brown, 15
Jill Smith, a nurse on the D7 ward at the hospital, said: “It makes a huge difference to lift their spirits at Christmas.
“Any visits around Christmas make a massive impact and put smiles on their faces which is fantastic.”
