SUBWAYS in Greenmeadow will receive a fresh new look as part of a project to create safer routes in the community.

Local volunteers, with the help of Torfaen Play Service, are supporting the project to decorate three subways with bright colourful artwork.

It is hoped that the transformation will increase the use of the subways.

The project follows the ‘Safer Routes to School’ project carried out previously on subways within the Cwmbran area.

The project has been supported by ward councillors, Bob Wellington and Mandy Owen, local volunteers and the local community group CoStar who provided the paint and resources.
