UPDATE: New Harmony Singers are delighted to introduce our new accompanist, Mr Jeslyn Asir, who played for us at St Julian’s Methodist Church, Newport, raising funds for the charity, Action for Children.
Jeslyn comes to us with a great musical pedigree, beginning at the age of five, when he started picking out tunes on the piano, playing for his church choir by the age of 12 and reaching his Grade 8 in piano by the age of 14.
He later achieved Grade 8 in Voice and Theory of Music and has used his musical talents in many various ways, ranging from accompanying students in Trinity and Royal College examinations, to playing for many choirs in his home city, which resulted in a job as Choir Director in Kodaikanal International School. He is currently doing a post graduate study in Piano Accompaniment at The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.
We would like to wish Jeslyn and his wife a very happy stay in Wales.
Come and listen to him play at one of our concerts and raise money for some very worthy causes at the same time!
