Emergency services have attended an incident on bridge by the River Usk
A MAN'S body has been found in the River Usk, close to the Caerleon town Bridge, police have confirmed.
A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "Emergency Services were called at approximately 10.30am this morning to reports of a body found in the River Usk, close to the Caerleon Town Bridge.
"Officers attended and we can confirm that a body of a man has been found. Enquiries are ongoing to trace the identity of this man."

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10.50am to a bridge by the River Usk in Caerleon. We sent a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle to the scene."
