A PUB will hold a free event today to raise money for our 125 Appeal.
The Ponthir House Inn, which is located on Caerleon Road in Ponthir, will host a music festival today (May 28) for the appeal which marks the 125th anniversary of the South Wales Argus.
The staff at the popular Ponthir House Inn and St David’s Hospice Care’s retail office manager Lesley Bateman came up with the idea of holding a music festival called Party at Ponthir as a fundraising event for our appeal.
Barrie Walden, landlord at the Ponthir House Inn, said: “It will be a fun family day with food and music, and everyone is welcome. We are really looking forward to it.”
The event will start at 2pm and entertainment will begin at 3pm. There is no entry fee for the event, but donations to St David’s Hospice Care are welcome.
