FOUR scout leaders have packed their bags and are travelling to Mongolia for a jamboree.
Kath Lewis, Cheryl Martin and Annmarie Dicken from Newport are on their way to Moscow to meet fellow leader Matilda Bailey from Llanmartin. They will then travel to Mongolia for the Asia Pacific scout Jamboree.
Mrs Lewis said: “I’m a little apprehensive but also quite exited.
"None of us been jamboree before.”
The leaders will also be spending time at the Lotus Children Centre near Ulaanbaatar in, Mongolia which supports vulnerable children.
Mrs Lewis said: “Cheryl’s mum and her knitting club have made knitted hats for the children, so we are bringing them and other things that they need.
“We are all looking forward to meeting people.”
