POLICE have launched a crackdown on anti-social behaviour and drug misuse in Monmouth town centre.
As part of Gwent Police's Operation Smoke last week, officers prevented acts of anti-social behaviour and seized a substantial amount of class B drugs.
A police spokeswoman said: "Several warnings were given to youths near the skate park, including three Fixed Penalty Notices issued for possession of cannabis.
"Officers also gathered valuable information from the local community, helping our neighbourhood teams to monitor prolific offenders and crime hotspots more closely."
Report crime by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
