A THEATRE adaptation of a classic novel could take place against the iconic backdrop of Newport's Transporter Bridge next year.
Newport-based Tin Shed Theatre Co, plans to hold several events at and around the bridge based on Herman Meville's Moby Dick.
The 1851 novel follows the quest of character Ahab and his hunt for the great whale Moby Dick.
The project is supported by Arts Council of Wales, Newport City Council and The Riverfront and aims to combine heritage, literature and performance.
This includes celebrating the Transporter Bridge's past, potential future and exploring themes of male mental health and masculinity.
Tuesday, October 3, is the propsed date of the perfomance.
This includes a short storytelling performance and presentation on the bridge and artists, partners and the general public are invited.
