AN ARGUS reporter who will be abseiling down the Newport’s Transporter Bridge on Saturday has now raised £561 for a Gwent hospice.
Estel Farell-Roig will be one of the people taking part in the abseil to raise money for St David’s Hospice Care – part of the paper’s 125 Appeal.
She held a lunch sale in the Argus office yesterday [TH], raising £128,50. “I am quite happy with the money raised,” she said.
So far, sponsors include Chepstow Racecourse, Bettws Cllr Kevin Whitehead and an anonymous sponsor, with all donating £50 each.
